APPLE SPICED BANANA BREAD

Fall is here and I’m ready for all of the delicious recipes that come with it! Apples are one of my favorite foods, so of course I’m going to incorporate it into as many fall dishes as I can. First up- banana bread!

I actually first tried this recipe for Rosh Hashanah. It’s the Jewish New Year and we customarily eat apples and honey for a sweet new year! Unfortunately my first version was just a bit too soggy and didn’t have enough apple taste for me. Version 2.0 is just in time for the changing of the seasons though! I hope you add this delicious apple spiced banana bread to your Thanksgiving table this year.

Although many consider banana bread as dessert, I firmly stand by it being a breakfast food. A sweet, indulgent breakfast food. I just wanted to make that clear. Okay, on to the recipe now.

A few reminders for substitutions since I am the queen of them! You can always use frozen bananas for baking. Bananas can also be substituted for apple sauce, which is especially perfect for this apple spiced recipe. Feel free to skip or substitute any warm spice- don’t have nutmeg, but have a chai spice? Sounds fabulous.
