After a busy week filled with early morning workouts and long days in the office, Justin and I like to use the weekend as a time to slow down and re-connect.

8:00 am

Oh yeah, we are SLEEPING IN. Our morning’s always start- like, really start, sharing a cup of coffee over breakfast. I’ve been loving Coffee mate® natural bliss® Plant Based Half & Half that I bought in the creamer section at Walmart recently. The Neighborhood Walmart near our house is super convenient for grabbing some of our favorite nutritious foods at low prices.

It kicks up my coffee a notch with a creamy almond milk and coconut cream base. Both the vanilla and the unsweetened are all natural, plant-based, gluten free and non-GMO clean label. Even better- the vanilla only has 2g of sugar (which comes from cane sugar) and the unsweetened has 0g!

Dallas Farmer’s Market! The local Farmer’s Market is best on Saturdays. Sometimes we bike around town after breakfast, head to Katy Trail or enjoy a stroll through the market. I love to chat with local vendors and snag up some fresh, seasonal produce. Buying seasonally is one of the best ways I keep myself motivated and inspired when it comes to recipe development. I try to push myself outside my comfort zone by buying produce I wouldn’t typically put on my grocery list, like watermelon radish, bok choy and cabbage.

10:00 am

Wrap up my morning with a workout. I love using this time to meet up with friends and share a sweat date. I’m always hopping around all the great fitness studios Dallas has to offer. Whether it’s spin, HIIT, yoga, pilates; there’s something for everyone!
